Medical tourism is taking off in Dubai as more men travel to the emirate for cosmetic procedures. While plastic surgery has traditionally catered to a primarily female clientele, this is changing as more men contribute to this growth industry in Dubai. Local plastic surgeons are in high demand as they have seen their customer base increase dramatically in the last 8 months alone.

The London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery in Dubai is a popular choice among international male clients who are looking to plastic surgery to achieve a more muscular physique. Men are booking surgeries for body reshaping, with procedures like high definition liposuction to improve the look of the abs being a popular choice. Other procedures preferred by male clients include rhinoplasty, liposuction, hair transplants and Botox. Those who have undergone gastric band operations and are left with sagging skin are also using plastic surgery to correct this.

Four Central jersey hospitals have found a place in the top 66 in the New York region for the best hospitals. The Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, St. Peter's University Hospital, Raritan Bay Medical Center and the John F. Kennedy Medical Center have all been named in the latest list of the best hospitals in the country by U.S. News and World Report.
The Robert Wood Johnson finds its place among the best hospitals by virtue of its specialty in pulmonology, cancer, diabetes and endocrinology with seven other specialties. St. Peter's has been included in the list for best hospitals because of its gynecology and pulmonology departments.
The New York region comprises of New York City, Long Island, Westchester and northern New Jersey. The best hospitals have been ranked using hard data and reputation in certain specialties. The rankings also take into account the performance of the hospitals in their specialties. All the four hospitals are delighted that they are on the list.

The Medical Director of the St. Michael Medical Centre has been named among the top surgeons of the nation. The list of top surgeons was compiled by Castle Connoly Medical Ltd which is an independent research firm.
Dr. Jan Huston holds her B.S. in Nursing from Michigan State University, a M.A. in Clinical Psychology and an M.D. from the same university. She is a general and vascular surgeon who specialises in breast care. She has made it to the top surgeons list by her compassion towards her work and her dedication towards evidence based medicines. She is one of the two women and the only breast surgeon on the list of 32 top surgeons released by the firm.
The list of the top surgeons was published after extensive interviews and credential reviews by a physician led research team. Dr. Huston has been the pioneer in the Rapid Breast Biopsy Diagnosis which is a test that delivers results in less than 24 hours and this is not the first time that she is in the list of the top surgeons. She has been named the Castle Connoly Top Doctor in the New York Metropolitan Area every year for the past decade.
