The company has been publishing this highly revered ranking report since 1993 under its 100 Top Hospital Program.

2011 Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals award winners have been adjudged from about 3,000 hospitals across the U.S. and have been judged on parameters such as patient care, operational efficiency and financial stability. The winners of the rankings are further divided under categories such as the Major Teaching Hospitals, Teaching Hospitals, Large Community Hospitals, Medium Community Hospitals and Small Community Hospitals.
