Penn State Global Medical Brigades Plans a Medical Mission to Honduras
A medical mission, organized by Penn State Global Medical Brigades (GMB), will visit poor villages of Honduras in March 2011. This medical mission comprises various groups that will travel to the interior parts of the region and provide medical assistance to the locals.
Accompanied by physicians, the medical mission groups will move from village to village and provide relief to the people suffering from disease and poverty. Besides free medical care, the members of GMB will also try to promote better sanitation and economic models in these villages.
Under this medical mission, every community in chosen areas will be visited by the group once every 3 to 4 months. Patient reports entered in a large database will be used to keep an eye on health trends and treat chronic problems among the population.
GMB medical missions comprise volunteers who take help of sponsors or pay their own way to make their contribution to the betterment of this world.
