Medical Director Gets Named Among The Nation’s Top Surgeons
The Medical Director of the St. Michael Medical Centre has been named among the top surgeons of the nation. The list of top surgeons was compiled by Castle Connoly Medical Ltd which is an independent research firm.
Dr. Jan Huston holds her B.S. in Nursing from Michigan State University, a M.A. in Clinical Psychology and an M.D. from the same university. She is a general and vascular surgeon who specialises in breast care. She has made it to the top surgeons list by her compassion towards her work and her dedication towards evidence based medicines. She is one of the two women and the only breast surgeon on the list of 32 top surgeons released by the firm.
The list of the top surgeons was published after extensive interviews and credential reviews by a physician led research team. Dr. Huston has been the pioneer in the Rapid Breast Biopsy Diagnosis which is a test that delivers results in less than 24 hours and this is not the first time that she is in the list of the top surgeons. She has been named the Castle Connoly Top Doctor in the New York Metropolitan Area every year for the past decade.
